This position involves providing high-quality emergency care across a range of medical conditions, including trauma, respiratory issues, neurological events, and other urgent interventions. The assignment is scheduled to start on August 31, 2026, and requires a dynamic, adaptable nurse ready to work night shifts.</p><br><p>Job Details:</p><br><ul><br><li>Schedule: Night shifts, Friday, Saturday, and one additional weekday as needed; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.</li><br><li>Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of emergency room experience, active Illinois nursing license, certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and recent emergency department experience with adult and pediatric patient populations.</li><br><li>Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level I or II, comprehensive charting system familiarity, and recent travel experience.</li><br><li>Additional Information: The role involves managing adult and pediatric emergencies, including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and critical cases, utilizing advanced procedures and skills such as intubation, arterial blood gas interpretation, and management of multisystem organ failure. On-call availability is not required, and float rotation may be necessary within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Candidate must have completed all required certifications and possess an active Illinois license prior to submission.
