POSITION SUMMARY: All Together Recovery LLC (ATR), provides multiple levels of ASAM SUD/BHSO care, including recovery housing, education, job training, employment, and other recovery related extensions to the family in for-profit and non-profit environments. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is responsible for general medical oversight of clients while participating in ATR. The APRN is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for managing health issues and coordinating health care for clients in accordance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of client status). The APRN will also provide evidenced based treatment modalities for substance abuse through group therapy sessions. We are looking for a telehealth APRN to be scheduled every other weekend to provide coverage for the medical team at ATR. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRMENTS: <ol> <li>Must have a valid Kentucky driver’s license. </li> <li>Participate in all necessary staff meetings and hold weekly medical team meetings.</li> <li>Be proficient in all ATR rules, policies, and procedures.</li> <li>Model servant leadership.</li> <li>Operate with integrity in all circumstances.</li> <li>Communicate effectively and be responsive to verbal and written correspondences.Prescribing treatment for detoxification to include comfort measures, hydration, prescription medications as needed for severe symptoms.</li> <li>Management of chronic medical issues to include referral to appropriate medical care providers; maintaining and adjusting medications; obtaining appropriate diagnostic studies.</li> <li>Assess and treat acute illnesses or injuries.</li> <li>Monitor and evaluate medical progress and modify treatment as needed.</li> <li>Perform assessments on new intakes to determine medical conditions that may impact recovery, need for prescription medications, identify existing or potential medical problems that the client may not have been aware of previously. (e.g., hypertension)</li> <li>Participate as a therapeutic team member for staff and clients in appropriate counseling situations.</li> <li>Educate clients and staff regarding disease processes and self-management of chronic conditions.</li> <li>Ensure that all staff are current in CPR/first aid and communicable diseases/blood borne pathogens education as well as any medical related CEU’s.</li> <li>Maintains relationships with local pharmacies, medical/dental care providers and medical facilities.</li> <li>Provides appropriate screening of clients and staff such as TB skin testing or immunizations.</li> <li>Provide mandatory on call coverage as needed.</li> <li>Provide direct oversight of all medical staff.</li> <li>Will assume PCP role for clients in 2.1 level of care and manage their medical care while within the program.</li> <li>Lead group therapy sessions as directed by program manager.</li> <li>Create notes in EHR system.</li> <li>Initiate necessary policies/procedures related to medical processes and medication management, infection control, etc.</li> <li>Medical evaluations and treatments are guided by national standards of care established for specific illnesses or conditions. </li> <li>Serve as on call contact for ATR a whole month twice a year and on an as needed basis.</li> <li>Maintain all required professional licenses.</li> <li>All other duties assigned.</li> </ol> BACKGROUND/EDUCATION: <ol> <li>Must have a minimum of a master’s degree in nursing and be a current APRN with 2 years in license.</li> <li>Must possess a current valid unrestricted license from the Kentucky Licensing Board.</li> <li>Prefer medical SUD experience.</li> <li>Prefer experience working with various funding streams and ability to collaborate with our internal grant and billing departments.</li> <li>Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.</li> <li>Experience in residential SUD treatment setting preferred. </li> </ol>
