About the Role Our client is a rapidly growing consumer goods company known for its innovative product lines and commitment to sustainable practices. They are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Remote Supply Chain Planner specializing in Demand Forecasting. This role is integral to ensuring product availability and optimizing inventory levels across their extensive distribution network. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in statistical modeling, data analysis, and supply chain planning principles, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. As a fully remote position, this role offers significant flexibility and requires excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams. You will be instrumental in driving accuracy and efficiency within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities Develop, refine, and execute statistical models for accurate demand forecasting of various product lines. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and external factors to improve forecast accuracy. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams to incorporate their insights into demand plans. Work with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure supply plans align with forecasted demand, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory. Monitor forecast performance, identify root causes of forecast errors, and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain demand planning reports and dashboards, providing visibility to key stakeholders. Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, presenting demand forecasts and assumptions. Identify opportunities to leverage technology and advanced analytics to enhance demand planning processes. Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on demand and supply plans. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 6 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or a related analytical role within a CPG or retail environment. Strong expertise in statistical forecasting techniques and demand modeling using tools like SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, or similar enterprise planning software. Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R. Demonstrated experience with the S&OP process and cross-functional collaboration. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fully remote setting. Experience with integrated business planning (IBP) concepts is advantageous.
