Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading software company, is seeking a React/React Native Developer for a contract opportunity with a leading digital financial services company. The role involves transforming product requirements into interactive experiences for web and mobile, ensuring performance and scalability while collaborating with various teams.


Responsibilities

  • Transform product requirements and designs into interactive experiences for web and mobile using React and React Native
  • Work closely with the engineering team to develop and maintain our code and process standards for our frontend applications
  • Work closely with the Product Team during the product development lifecycle to provide technical guidance
  • Take part in peer reviews and pair programming to teach and learn from others
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to develop and model APIs used by our frontend applications

Skills

  • 5+ years of mobile development experience, including 2+ years with React Native
  • Strong experience with React Native CLI, Expo, and native modules
  • Prior experience migrating native applications to React Native
  • Proficiency in Swift/Objective-C (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android)
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and functional components/hooks
  • Experience working with React Navigation, Flexbox, Styled Components, and Animations (Reanimated, Lottie, etc.)
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for mobile apps
  • Familiarity with mobile security best practices, including authentication, encryption, and secure storage
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and GraphQL
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Detox, or Appium
  • Experience with Firebase services (Crashlytics, Push Notifications, Analytics)
  • Experience with directly contributing to web APIs written in Node.js/Express
  • Experience working with Material UI
  • Experience configuring WebPack for React
  • Experience in building and maintaining a component library
