The role involves supporting the design of large-scale power generation systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and solving non-standard engineering challenges. Responsibilities Support the design of large-scale islanded power generation systems Work on complex generation assets, rotating equipment and mechanical power plant systems Contribute to engineering solutions for rapid load-change and mission-critical power requirements Review and develop design concepts for non-standard power generation applications Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary engineering teams Apply mechanical design engineering judgement to review technically challenging project work Support problem-solving across combined cycle, simple cycle and related generation environments Skills Around 7+ years' mechanical engineering experience Experience with power generation, rotating equipment or generation assets Design engineering experience is essential Combined cycle power generation or simple cycle power generation experience is highly desirable Islanded power systems experience is highly desirable Benefits Fully remote working 100% employer-paid healthcare for employee and family Vision and dental coverage Unlimited PTO Company Overview Verto People is a leading recruitment company specialising in the Engineering and Software fields across Europe and North America.
