[Remote] FLEX Manager, B2B Events

The Manager will oversee logistics for customer and industry events, managing all aspects of event management including site selection, program design, and budget adherence.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of third-party B2B event vendors to develop and execute the strategy, processes and programs that are aligned with the global B2B events vision including setting objectives, initiatives, processes, and standards
- Manage B2B event logistics for mid-size customer events and industry trade events by working directly with internal/external customers, property teams, outside vendors, and other relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for logistics planning to include: site inspection, program design/flow, food and beverage, entertainment, marketing collateral, amenity program and group activities
- Coordinate event registration process and travel arrangements (airfare, hotel, etc.) for the department leaders, team members, and customers, as appropriate. Travel planning includes: transportation, lodging, and distribution of meeting materials/presentations
- Build and maintain registration sites key customer events. Manage program costs to ensure adherence to allocated budget
- Work in tandem with the B2B Events & Programs team to ensure all approved branding and brand voice standards are updated in all aspects of the event process
- Responsible for maintaining the GSO tradeshow booth(s). This includes ensuring brand logos and brand voice are updated, serving as the liaison with approved graphic design vendors, adhering to the allocated budget, and working closely with the meeting/show event owner to ensure all aspects are executed in a timely manner
- Assist B2B Events team where available with supporting larger scale and higher visibility events
- Maintain regular communications with sales leaders and stakeholders ensure seamless execution and superior customer service prior to, during, and following event
- Plan and lead pre-and post-event team meetings ensuring alignment with all necessary parties and coordination of event details
- Prepare post-event survey, review and summarize feedback, and present results to senior leadership. Reviews customer feedback to improve processes and enhance program materials. Make recommendations for future enhancements, as appropriate
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, professionalism, and confidentiality in all communications and actions
- Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention
- Use standard software applications such as Office 365, Microsoft Teams, CVENT, Passkey, expense reporting system, travel management system, etc
- Act decisively to recover from mistakes. Know how to develop/propose/initiate solutions and when to involve a leader
- Act independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge
- Set priorities and establish procedures for completing own responsibilities

Skills
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in event management, marketing or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance
- Previous experience in events management
- Demonstrated project management skills
- CVENT Experience
- Working knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tools
- Ability to leverage technology to support event promotion, audience engagement, and business outcomes
