Position & Shift Details

  • Shift: Permanent Night / Early Morning Routes.
  • Location: Dispatching from our terminal in Twinsburg, OH.
  • Equipment: Well-maintained 26' Box Trucks equipped with a Liftgate and Pallet Jack.

The Reality of Amazon Relay Performance Metrics

Amazon Relay facilities operate on unforgiving, automated schedules. Every load is assigned a unique Vehicle Route Identifier (VRID), which tracks your exact trip telemetry. There is zero tolerance for the following operational failures, as they directly impact our carrier scorecard:

  • Late arrivals to pickups or deliveries (we expect drivers to arrive 30–60 minutes early for check-ins).
  • Failure to strictly follow Amazon yard, warehouse check-in, and check-out procedures.
  • Unauthorized stops or route deviations from the GPS.
  • Poor or delayed communication with dispatch.
  • Unsafe driving or failure to complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

Drivers who fail to meet these objective performance measures will be removed from routes immediately.

Compensation & Performance Bonuses

We believe in rewarding elite execution. Our compensation model is highly competitive and directly tied to performance:

  • Base Pay: 40% of the Completed Weekly Relay Contract Block Rate.
  • Weekly Pay Cycle: Payments are processed securely via QuickBooks Online (QBO) and issued every Friday for work completed the prior week.
  • Elite Performance Bonus: An additional $100 weekly bonus is awarded upon achieving a flawless 100% Amazon Relay Performance Score Rating for that week.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a box truck on designated Amazon Relay routes during night shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
  • Load, secure, and verify shipments to prevent damage or loss during transit
  • Deliver freight promptly along assigned routes, maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and operational readiness
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
  • Assist with warehouse activities including moving freight, heavy lifting, and organizing inventory when required

Driver Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience driving 26' box trucks (Mandatory).\
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from our terminal in Twinsburg, OH.
  • Licensing: Valid Driver's License (Non-CDL) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Compliance: Must possess or be able to pass a DOT Medical Card examination.
  • Tech-Savvy: Strong ability to utilize smartphone applications, electronic logging devices (Motive ELD), and the Amazon Relay App seamlessly.
  • Punctuality: A personal standard of being early, not just "on time."
  • Prior experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as moving freight or pallets using forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling
  • Experience with load & unload procedures and route navigation during night shifts is a plus
