Online Faculty: Consumer Behavior
Auto ImportAt Helms College, our faculty play a vital role in supporting student success by delivering practical instruction, mentoring learners, and creating inclusive learning environments that connect education to employment and long-term opportunity.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Deliver Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) courses.</li><li>Develop Canvas Course Shell and Materials to support 5.5 week/44 hour online course</li><li>Facilitate discussions and provide feedback to enhance learning.</li><li>Use Canvas LMS to track student performance and participation.</li><li>Offer academic advice and address student concerns.</li><li>Attend online meetings and contribute to curriculum development.</li><li>Prepare and execute lessons, lectures, activities, and exercises for online settings in the Canvas LMS.</li><li>Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance. Grade and record individual scores.</li><li>Grade and return assignments and post grades in a prompt manner.</li><li>Provide prompt and appropriate professional correspondence to students and colleagues.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance. Maintain other records as required.</li><li>Maintain Regular and Substantive faculty to student interactions in LMS</li><li>Conduct online office hours.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in Marketing, <strong>Business, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Retail Management, </strong> or a closely related field <strong>from an accredited institution</strong>.<br><br><strong>Professional experience</strong> in one or more of the following areas:<br><br><ul><li>Marketing or retail strategy</li><li>Customer experience (CX) or consumer insights</li><li>Sales, merchandising, or promotional planning</li><li>Market research, customer analytics, or demand analysis</li><li>Retail or service environments with direct customer engagement responsibility<br><br></li></ul><strong>Demonstrated Knowledge Of<br><br></strong><ul><li>Consumer decision-making processes</li><li>Buying behavior and motivation</li><li>Cultural, social, and psychological influences on purchasing</li><li>Customer segmentation and targeting</li><li>Ethical marketing and consumer protection concepts</li><li>Expertise in Canvas LMS, including course setup, content organization, assessments, analytics, grading, and optimization for student engagement and success.</li><li>Proficiency in a wide range of instructional technologies for distance learning, including video conferencing, screencasting, and other digital tools that enhance online and hybrid education.</li></ul>
