The Children's Guild is seeking passionate, emerging clinicians to join their Outpatient Mental Health Center (OMHC) team. The OMHC provides evidence-based, trauma-informed outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and families across multiple locations in Maryland and Washington, D.C. The interdisciplinary team includes therapists, clinicians, psychiatrists, case managers, and school-based professionals, all dedicated to helping children thrive. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a new or early-career clinician to develop their skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, play therapy) under clinical supervision
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with COMAR, HIPAA, and agency standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, case managers, and school staff
- Engage families as active partners in the therapeutic process
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Graduate licensure in Maryland or D.C. (LMSW, LGPC, or equivalent); candidates awaiting licensure encouraged to apply
- Genuine passion for working with children, adolescents, and families
- Basic knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
