AG Security Group Inc. is actively seeking experienced Security Guards who hold a valid FDNY F-03 (Indoor Place of Assembly) and/or F-04 (Outdoor Place of Assembly) Certificate of Fitness for immediate placement at premier nightlife venues and high-end events throughout New York City.

This is a unique opportunity to join one of New York's most established security firms serving the hospitality and entertainment industry. Our clients include upscale lounges, rooftop venues, private events, and exclusive nightlife establishments where professionalism, presence, and discretion are paramount.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor venues and proactively address safety concerns in high-volume, upscale environments
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, or disturbances with professionalism, composure, and discretion
  • Complete incident and daily activity reports accurately and in a timely manner
  • Enforce venue policies and capacity regulations while maintaining a hospitality-first approach
  • Ensure compliance with FDNY Place of Assembly requirements during all events
  • Manage guest entry, VIP access, and venue flow with authority and professionalism
  • Support venue management and fellow team members as needed

Physical Requirements

This position involves working in high-volume nightlife and event environments where physical security duties are a core function of the role. While our venues are upscale and guest-focused, candidates must be fully capable of performing the following when the situation requires:

  • Maintain a commanding and authoritative physical presence at entry points and throughout the venue
  • Physically intervene in altercations and safely manage uncooperative patrons
  • Perform crowd control and manage high-capacity spaces during peak hours
  • Stand and actively patrol for 6 or more hours per shift
  • Escort and physically remove individuals from the premises when necessary
  • Restrain individuals when required in accordance with company use-of-force policy

Candidates should be confident in their ability to manage the physical demands of nightlife security. Prior experience working the door or floor at bars, nightclubs, lounges, or large-scale events is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Valid FDNY F-03 Certificate of Fitness (Indoor Place of Assembly) and/or F-04 Certificate of Fitness (Outdoor Place of Assembly) required — candidates without an active F-03 or F-04 will not be considered
  • Valid New York State Security Guard License with current 8-Hour Annual and 16-Hour On-the-Job Training certificates
  • Minimum 2 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required at all times
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Weekend Availability:

Candidates must be available to work both Friday and Saturday nights, as these are our highest-demand shifts in the hospitality environment. Additional weeknight shifts may be available.

Professional Appearance Standards:

All security personnel are required to maintain a professional appearance at all times. The standard uniform includes a black suit. Candidates are expected to arrive to their interview dressed accordingly.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
