Mystery Case File Game Writer/ Designer
Auto ImportWe’re looking for an experienced mystery game designer / narrative writer to develop full case content for a mystery-solving game, similar to Unsolved Case Files.
Players will solve a fictional crime by reviewing a case file containing realistic materials such as:
• police reports
• crime scene photos
• witness statements
• suspect profiles
• interview transcripts
• newspaper clippings
• evidence logs, timelines, maps, screenshots, etc.
The game should be designed so that players feel like real detectives, piecing together clues from documents.
Deliverables
1. A complete “case pack”, including:
• full plot + timeline
• list of reveals
• summary of how the mystery is solvable
2. Character Dossiers
• victim + all suspects/witnesses (profiles)
3. Evidence List
• list of every evidence item and what it’s for (incl. red herrings)
4. All Written Assets
• interview transcripts
• witness statements
• police reports
• articles, texts, notes, etc.
5. Answer Key + Hints
• structured answers for each objective
• hint system content
Note: You are not required to do graphic design, but your documents should be written in a way that can easily be formatted by our design team (clear titles, dates, case numbers, etc.).
Please include:
• 1–2 examples of mystery writing or interactive narrative work
• If available: puzzle design samples (escape room, detective game, branching narrative, etc.)
