We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This vital role involves supporting complex litigation cases across a variety of practice areas. The Litigation Paralegal will manage case files, conduct legal research, assist with document review and drafting, and coordinate project management tasks to ensure smooth case progression. Duties
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation including case preparation, discovery, depositions, and trial support.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw; ensure all documents are accurately filed and easily retrievable.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Review and analyze legal documents for relevance and accuracy; perform proofreading and transcription to maintain high-quality standards.
- Coordinate client interviews and witness statements; assist in preparing witnesses for depositions or court appearances.
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and ensuring timely filing of documents in compliance with court rules.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and external vendors via professional phone etiquette and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of litigation processes across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with legal case management software like iManage or PCLaw is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills for drafting pleadings, contracts, memos and other legal documents; proficiency in proofreading and transcription is essential.
- Experience with document review processes and data entry; familiarity with document management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of various areas of law such as landlord-tenant law, tribal regulations, patent law; ability to adapt quickly to different legal contexts.
- Effective interviewing skills for client intake or witness interviews; ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Administrative experience supporting attorneys or legal teams in a busy law office environment; excellent phone etiquette required.
