The internship program provides young adults valuable work experience, the opportunity to develop employment skills, and incredible opportunities to network! Internships start in June or July.<br id="isPasted"><br>Jobs for Youth is seeking a Summer Intern II to work at SamCERA, the county’s Retirement Agency. SamCERA was established in 1944 by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to deliver retirement, disability, and death benefits to the county's workforce. It serves all permanent employees of San Mateo County, the San Mateo County Superior Court, and the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District. Operating under the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937, it offers a defined benefit retirement system as stipulated in Government Code sections 31450 et.seq.<br><br>Are you someone who thrives on staying organized and paying attention to the details? Join SamCERA as an intern and gain hands-on experience in technical support, administrative tasks, and information systems.<br><br>SamCERA is located in Redwood City. Applicants must be 18 years old before June 1, 2026. Applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours a week Monday through Friday; positions vary between 20- 40 hours a week.<br><br>NOTE: This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Some extra help positions are eligible for benefits under the Affordable Care Act.
