Plains All American is seeking a Human Resources Intern for an 8-month, full-time term beginning August 31, 2026. This role is based in our Calgary office and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting HR operations for our Canadian and US teams. You will work alongside professionals to bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world application in the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with intern recruitment, including screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
- Manage end-to-end Contingent Workforce lifecycle transactions within Workday, such as onboarding and offboarding.
- Monitor the Contingent Workforce mailbox to respond to inquiries from leaders, vendors, and workers.
- Support reporting activities to ensure data integrity and perform necessary follow-ups.
- Assist with HR payroll tasks, including manual entries, validation, and responding to pay-related inquiries.
- Coordinate logistics for the intern program and events.
- Complete and present assigned projects that showcase your contributions and learning.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment as a third or fourth-year student in a full-time post-secondary program.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CoPilot AI, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous entry-level work experience in customer service or a relevant internship is an asset.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Modality: On-site at our downtown office.
- Term: Summer 2026 start (August 31, 2026) for an 8-month duration.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
- Requirements: Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada. This position does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship. You must be willing to relocate to Calgary for the duration of the term.
