About the position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Float to join their team in San Francisco, CA. This role will cover various locations around San Francisco, including San Mateo, Daly City, Millbrea, and San Francisco. The Phlebotomy Float will perform blood collections, process specimens, handle data entry, process billing, and provide customer service. This position offers the opportunity to gain diverse experience working with various patients, team members, and locations, fostering skill development and growth within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
