Commercial Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead overnight operations for a high-profile commercial water feature and mechanical systems maintenance contract in Washington, DC.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who can work independently, troubleshoot equipment, supervise a small crew, and ensure critical systems remain fully operational throughout the night.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a small overnight maintenance team.
• Monitor and operate commercial mechanical equipment and pump systems.
• Troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, piping, plumbing, and electrical control systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment alarms and mechanical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain daily logs and communicate system status to daytime management.
• Coordinate with management regarding maintenance priorities and emergency repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical controls, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment independently.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 is a plus.
• Experience with commercial water features, pools, fountains, water treatment, or municipal facilities is highly desirable.
