Role Description This is a part-time, remote entry-level role for a Cloud Support Engineer at SSS Ltd.

The Cloud Support

Engineer will assist in monitoring cloud-based systems, responding to support tickets, and resolving technical issues under the guidance of senior team members. Daily tasks include troubleshooting user-reported incidents, performing basic system administration in cloud environments, and supporting routine maintenance activities. The role also involves escalating complex issues to senior engineers, documenting solutions and procedures, and contributing to the improvement of support workflows. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, clear communication with internal stakeholders, and adherence to security and data protection standards are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Basic knowledge of System Administration tasks in cloud or virtualized environments (e.g., user management, logging, backups).
  • Understanding of Networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Awareness of Network Security principles, including access control, encryption, and secure configuration practices.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and follow documented procedures accurately.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to interact with remote teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant education or training in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (degree, diploma, or industry certifications) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and ticketing systems is an advantage.
