We are seeking a dynamic Cargo Coordinator, to lead the cargo and courier product at the assigned stations (JFK, BOS, IAD & ORD) by managing and executing commercial initiatives aimed at achieving budgetary and sales targets for cargo products. This role involves supervising our vendors to ensure compliance with all requirements outlined in the Copa Airlines Cargo manuals and maintaining budget control to monitor product profitability. Additionally, the individual will fulfill responsibilities related to the Operational Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure its effective implementation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate cargo shipments and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage operations related to international logistics and courier services.
- Utilize conflict management skills to resolve issues that may arise during shipping.
- Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English to facilitate operations.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Sciences or related fields, such as International Business, Foreign Trade, or Business Administration.
- Proven experience of over 3 years in sales with administrative responsibilities in execution and control.
- Demonstrated experience of more than 3 years in operational management of Cargo & Courier handling.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in team leadership.
- Strong skills in communication, influence, leadership, results orientation, and organizational abilities.
Note: The candidate must be able to work flexibly from home, in the office, and travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
