The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. </div><div>At Target, we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of an Inbound Expert can provide you with the skills and experience of: </div><div><ul><li>Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals  </li></ul></div><div>As an Inbound Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Greet: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain product availability on the salesfloor for GM categories. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>If certified, operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>All other duties based on business needs. </li></ul></div><div>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR </div><div>This may be the right job for you if: </div><div><ul><li>You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times). </li></ul></div><div>The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be an Inbound Expert. But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go: </div><div><ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age or older </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work both independently and with a team </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes </li></ul></div><div>We are an awesome place to work and care about our teams, so we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics that we expect: </div><div><ul><li>Accurately handle cash register operations as needed </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Climb up and down ladders </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds throughout the duration of a shift without additional assistance from others.
